MAXINE KIM STUSSY
The original sculptures of Maxine Kim Stussy are among the finest collection of evocative American modernist sculpture we have the pleasure of representing. As the former wife of American artist Jan Stussy, and a long time protege' of America's master of synchronism Stanton Macdonald Wright, the life of MKS was a consistent enrichment of growth and artistic spirit. This development allowed her unique portrayal of human, animal and abstract form to blossom and yield her fantastic vision, realized in the form of three dimensional sculptures.
In addition, we are pleased to offer illustrated examples of sculpture, and series of original paintings, drawings and collage assemblage by Maxine Kim Stussy.
Exhibited at galleries and museums over the last six decades, her unique artistic style draws the viewer in, allowing us to ponder our own lives and environment in relation of the world around us.
